1 includes the first top-mounted pump panel in the department's history.
Previously, all panels have been mounted on the side of the apparatus, which
often blocks the engineer's view of the scene while pumping. The top mount
pump allows the engineer to see off all sides of the apparatus while at the
controls. Each lever controls an individual outlet or inlet that sends water from or into the pump. The various gauges allow the engineer to see how much water is being pumped out of each hose line. Click photo or use your browser's back button to return to Interactive Tour page. |
