The Maumelle Police & Fire Communications Center is responsible for dispatching personnel from both the police and fire departments as well as serving as the contact point for initiating ambulance services from Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS).

The communications center answers all 911 calls placed from Maumelle and from cell phones in the Maumelle area. When you dial 911, you will speak with a member of the communications center who will dispatch the appropriate apparatus and/or personnel to handle your situation.

In addition to answering 911 calls and dispatching police & fire units, our dispatchers are responsible for answering non-emergency phone calls, providing criminal/traffic information for the police department, accepting payments when district court is in session & greeting the public at the station outside of regular business hours.

The center currently consists of five full-time dispatchers and a division administrator. The communications center is staffed by one dispatcher 24 hours a day and the administrator, who works each weekday during regular business hours.
