2008 Shift Calendar

Maumelle firefighters work a schedule of one 24-hour tour of duty followed by 48 hours off duty. Presently, at least five firefighters are assigned to each of the department's three shifts. This insures that at least three firefighters are on duty 24 hours a day. In July, an additional four firefighter positions were added. Following their introductory training, these new hires will allow for seven firefighters assigned to each shift with a minimum staffing of four at a time.
