Dodge Durango. This unit is assigned to Division Chief John Payne.
Chief Payne serves as the department's fire marshal and, as such, is responsible
for enforcement of the fire code and cause/origin investigation of fires
in addition to the day-to-day management of fire department operations. Payne
is the first fire department appointee to hold the position in Maumelle.
Prior to July 1, 2004, the fire marshal's position was a occupied by a lieutenant
from one of the former Department of Public Safety's police
