pumper. This rig was designed and purchased in 1994 and was the city's first
rescue-body pumper. Among it's many features were a 1,000 gallon tank, three
1.75" pre-connected hoselines, a 2.5" hoseline and 1,000 feet of five-inch
supply hose. During it's service, it was equipped with hydraulic extrication
tools, commonly known as the Jaws of Life, and had seating for up to nine
firefighters. It served as Maumelle's first-out fire apparatus from its delivery
in January 1995 until being replaced in April 2006. It served as a reserve
until July 2007 and was sold on April 21, 2008. |
